Open sessions
Dusty Banjos have a monthly session with Mary, Sean, Heather and friends, which takes place on the first Saturday of each month in Arus na nGael, Dominick Street. The pace of the tunes is faster than at the student sessions, but the same friendly atmosphere prevails, and everyone is encouraged to participate. Sessions start at 10pm.
We also have a weekly session in Murty Rabbitts pub on Forster St, (across from the tourist office), on Thursdays at 9.30pm. Nice pub, friendly staff, come along and bring your friends!
In addition to Dustys sessions, there are others in Galway that welcome improvers. Current sessions are:
Thursdays in the Western Hotel, Prospect Hill, at 9.30pm. (Contact Michael on 091 512199 for info).
On Saturdays there is a session in The Crane bar, Sea Road, at around 7.30pm.
